Gorgeous, finely detailed antique Victorian-era cast brass tape measure. In the form of a begging puppy dog. Small glass eyes, hand winder underneath base. Location of manufacture probably Germany but there is no maker’s mark. The cloth tape comes out the puppy’s back and is obviously quite old but very legible. There is approximately 1/2" missing from the end of the tape. Original finish. Absolute jewel!
